Eco Council

Welcome to the Eco-Council’s page!

The Eco-Council is a group of children selected for their postivie attitude towards improving our environment.

Our main aims are to look after the school environment, help school to be environmentally friendly and develop ways of helping the world around us. We meet to share ideas, make plans and learn more about how to look after the environment. This year we are working with Nature Parks to habitat map our school and try and transform grey spaces to green, to promote more biodiversity. We are also starting our Nourish to Flourish programme - growing fruit and veg from seed! We are really excited to be starting this in Spring with the help of our gardener Anna Bond and her team from Allotment Education.

We are also working with the charity Green Meadows on sustainability and climate education. They are our local charity and we are planning some collaborative events over the year, including Meadows cleanups, gardening clubs and DIY clubs.
